and illustrator Kerry DeBay is a Board-Certified Registered Art
Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Trauma
Specialist. Kerry has been working with children and their
families for over 15 years - a significant focus has been
supporting children and their caregivers faced with the terminal
illness or death of a loved one. The concept of The Grief Bubble came from this work with grieving children. It
developed as a way to illustrate and explain the phenomenon -
grief – to the children were experiencing, helping to increase
their understanding and awareness of their unique process, while
normalizing their experience. |
